Hello!
Gary and I are busily participating in a Leadership Training Seminar sponsored by the Washington Council of the Blind. We will be here until Sunday.
Also, on Monday, we will assume the day-to-day operations of a very well-established adaptive technology dealership here in the Pacific Northwest called BlinkSOFT Technologies. So, needless to say we're gonna be busy people! Whew, we'll carry WindowEyes, Super Nova, HumanWare products, Braille embossers and more! I can hardly catch my breath!
I want to thank everyone who has posted about the KOMO TV and Direct TV issue. Next week I will try to get the e-mail for the General Manager posted here.
It's a gray day in Seattle, but here at the Leadership Conference there is lots of sunshine and happy folks.
Everybody take care, and keep watching, there'll be a new podcast up really soon!

Hi, Marlaina. My name's Cheryl, and I'm from ontario, Canada. Anyway, I found you originally through your live journal, then found this site later, but put off listening to your stuff till now. I'm on part two of your museum tour, and it's really interesting so far. Garry is a really good describer. I'm totally blind too, so having this is really neat. Um, I think that's about all I had to say for now, I just thought I'd comment and say hi. if you want to add me to msn, feel free. my address is celinefanatic@hotmail.com Also, I've got a live journal, so you can add me to your friends page if you want, my user name is clefurgey. Anyway, I've rambled enough for now. Hope to chat with you soon. Enjoy the conference, and good luck with the new business.
Hello Marlaina.
I just came accross your sight and am just now starting to read the post.
I have a blog but it is an experimental one and really does not have much to say but it is just little coments about what goes on through the day and I am adding little coments to my blog every day just to make sure the thing works properly before I start anything big.
This stuff is a little scary to get into but I think with a little practice I will be up there with the rest of the bloggers.
One thing I wish some one would do on Main menu is give a detailed lesson or demonstration on how to use sights like the feed burner page to get audio up on the net.
This looks really good and I am going to hang in there and learn all I can about this new thing called podcast and blogging.
Tracy Son.
Hi Marlaina - I heard your promo on the DSC, will be suscribing and checking out you podcasts. I had just never thought about the application of this technology from the perspective of a blind person. I am blind in my right eye, from an injury, but live a sigthed persons life just the same. I think a lot about being blind, maybe too much, but I sometimes feel I am walking on the edge. I have started a blog and a podcast recently myself. I travel internationally each month and am going to try and do sound seeing walks from places like Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taipei. You have given me some inspiration here, thanks.
Well gracious sakes this is my blog and I can't remember how to post to it! Maybe Nickie will help me by telling me the e-mail address again, SMIILE!
I saw posts from several of you that I have not answered, and I apologize. Gary and I have been in Montana on a business trip, and I think I left all my brains on the other side of the mountains because I truly cannot remember how to e-mail this blog, and when I try to respond to e-mail the blog sends me, it all bounces. YIKEs! Well, I'll keep on the trail of it.
I want to thank everybody for remaining subscribed. I know from reading the bios of a few of you that there are a couple who are interested in military things. Gary the Board guy flew KC135's and maybe one fine day I'll get him to talk a bit about that on a podcast. Now he flies a magic wheelchair, but hey, it's a thing with wheels, right?
That's all for now. Please good friends, do not give up on me, I'll get this reply thing straight!
Love to you all!
Marlaina
