Hello from Minnesota

Hello all! Stay tuned for some cool podcasts from Marlaina By Ear! Last weekend, Gary and I did a tour of the new SeaTac airport, it's very very cool. This weekend, we are in Minnesota, having watched Nickie Coby graduate from Forest Lake High School. It was wonderful to see Nickie and her guide dog, Julio, cross the graduation stage on their own with no sighted help. Nickie also was one of the three seniors chosen to address the assembly. There were over a thousand people present, and I must tell you that while I'm not her mom, my heart couldn't have been filled with any more pride and the lump in my throat couldn't have been any larger! I've known Nickie since she was 8 years old, and what a joy it is to have watched her grow into the fabulous young woman she has become!

The weather here is muggy, and my oh my, there are a lot of mosquitos here!
